account of edditing prilimanary task

We recently edited our preliminary productions first to edit we had to access our footage from the final cut server. after we had done this we had to log our shots this is when we select the appropriate shots from our various takes on each angle we set up a log bin and put our best takes into the log bin i thought it was about finding the best fit of the takes rather than chopping up each one for the overall best example this is where continuity editing comes into play this is attempting to follow the general film language and has many different purposes to ensure that only the relevant story points are shown, to manipulate time and space in the narrative, to force the audience to identify with the right characters, to make sure the story makes sense to the audience. This was also important when we were organizing our chosen shots to do this we took them out of the log bin and put them in and order that would tell the story the best and to make the audience choose someone that is on their “side” by giving different characters different amounts of screen time or different shots like close ups to allow audiences to relate to emotions on the face of a character.
